The Gibbon Experience is an amazing configuration of tree houses- high up in jungle and all connected by zip lines. We spent 3 days hiking and zipping through the jungle and across canyons. One scary beautiful view after the next. The tree house constructions are impressive to say the least. I can't describe this in words and my photos don't do the experience justice. Benjamin Maddox got some great video that he will post at some point .
The project started as a way to save the Gibbons ( a type if monkey) that were being poached. They convinced the poachers that it would be more lucrative to do Gibbon jungle tours than to hunt Gibbon.

Huay Xai , Laos
Crossing over from Thailand to Laos . First stop is Daauw Home a Hmong hill tribe guesthouse, it's an amazing work in progress. I was there for about a week - making art with the kids and painting a mural. Check out their web site and consider a donation. It's a grass roots program the money goes directly to the hill tribe people. Check out their site:
